Giorgio Faletti is a multi-faceted Italian artist ranging from comedy to literature. He first came to ligt as a comic on numerous television programmes such as 'Drive In', 'Emilio' and 'Fantastic 90'. In 1994, he won second prize at the San Remo festival of Italian music for his song 'Signor Tenente', which also won him the critics prize. And in 2002, debuted as a writer with his successful novel 'Io Uccido'.
In November 2005 he was awarded the De Sica prize for literature by the President of the Italian Republic.
